FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long does it take to craft my ring with Kane Jewelry?

For rings where you select your own center stone and ring setting, we custom-make each order. We carefully design each piece to perfectly fit the stone's dimensions. The crafting time is typically 7 to 10 business days.

What Metal Kane Jewelry Use?

We only use solid metals for our jewelry, never hollow or plated gold. Our standard offerings include 18K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold, 14K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, and platinum. If a customer has special requests, we can also work with 9K or 10K gold.

For 14K and 18K white gold, we apply a layer of rhodium plating. Rhodium is a rare and expensive metal, even more valuable than gold. This plating is necessary because white gold has a natural pale yellow hue, and rhodium gives it the bright white finish commonly associated with white gold jewelry. Rest assured that the base metal is always solid gold, and rhodium plating is a standard practice in the jewelry industry to achieve the desired white color.

What is Your Crafting Process Like?

1.Designing the RingWe start by creating a 3D model or CAD based on the size of the center diamond and the ring size. We carefully select matching side diamonds and design the overall structure of the ring setting to ensure a perfect fit.

2. Casting the MetalNext, we cast the ring in the chosen metal—either gold or platinum. For two-tone designs, we cast each part separately.

3. Setting the DiamondsWe first set the side diamonds, followed by the center diamond. We ensure that the diamond’s engravings are visible and not blocked by the setting, making it easy for inspection. If the prongs have diamonds, we set them after the center diamond.

4. Plating (if applicable)For 14K or 18K white gold, we apply rhodium plating to achieve the bright white finish. Rhodium is a rare and expensive metal, even more valuable than gold. This plating ensures durability and a high-shine appearance.

5. EngravingIf you have specific engraving requests, we will laser-engrave them at this stage. Otherwise, we will engrave the metal type, center diamond size, and side diamond size (e.g., “18K D3.24 d0.88” for an 18K gold ring with a 3.24-carat center diamond and 0.88 carats of side diamonds).

6. Polishing and InspectingOur experienced craftsmen polish every corner of the ring using various tools. The ring goes through at least five inspections to ensure it is dazzling and beautiful.

7. Final Quality CheckWe conduct a 17-step final inspection to check the main diamond’s girdle number, design details, and the security of each side diamond. Only after passing all these checks is the ring ready to be shipped.
